We are continuing our review of fall novelties launched in September. And yes, there are a lot of new projects that will perfectly complement the autumn atmosphere. Once again, so that you don’t miss anything important and have time to prepare, TechnoVision has compiled a detailed list of all the main, most interesting October releases.
Ghost of Yōtei
Release date: October 2
Genre: action adventure / RPG
Platforms: PS5
The sequel to Spiritual Legacy (the previous installment of Ghost of Tsushima) takes us to the island of Hokkaido in the 17th century. The protagonist Atsu seeks revenge on the Yōtei Six, the samurai who ruined her life. The visual style emphasizes the contrast between majestic mountains and bloody battles, and the combat system combines classic samurai duels with RPG elements. The atmosphere of honor, revenge, and the fight against inner demons is the game’s main trump card.
Little Nightmares III
Release date: October 10
Genre: platformer / horror
Platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and, of course, PC
In the third part, players will be introduced to two new characters – Lowe and Lonely. They are forced to travel through the world of Nowhere, which is filled with nightmares. For the first time in the history of the series, online co-op is available – you can go through the journey with a friend or on your own, relying on the help of artificial intelligence. Each character has its own set of tools. Lowe uses a bow and arrow, while Lonely carries a wrench, a universal tool for melee combat and puzzle solving. Visually, the game remains recognizably creepy, with a doll-like aesthetic, where the atmosphere of fear builds even in silence.
Battlefield 6
Release date: October 10
Genre: first-person shooter
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
The franchise returns to modern warfare. The story is set in 2027, where powers are waging wars for new resources. Hundreds of players will once again gather on large maps, and the destruction of the environment has become even more realistic. In addition to the classic multiplayer meat grinder, the game will feature a storyline campaign with political overtones. We also added the Portal toolkit to create custom maps and scenarios.
Keeper
Release date: October 17
Genre: adventure game
Platforms: Xbox Series X/S, PC (and if you take the game from Microsoft, you can play through the Game Pass subscription immediately on the day of release)
A novelty from Double Fine. You’ll play as… a lighthouse that has come to life and set off on a journey. Its light can change the environment, and a faithful bird always flies nearby. There are no dialogues in the game – the plot is simply presented through images and atmosphere. Keeper is a surreal experiment that promises something completely different from the usual game gameplay.
Ninja Gaiden 4
Release date: October 21
Genre: action
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
The series returns with a new hero, Yakumo, who complements the legendary Ryu Hayabusa. The battles will become even more brutal – players will be able to use the Bloodraven form, which turns enemies into bloody whirlwinds. At the same time, the developers have retained the familiar pace – fast strikes, acrobatics, and strict difficulty. The atmosphere of nostalgia is combined with a completely new level of visuals.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Release date: October 21
Genre: RPG / horror
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
The sequel to the cult vampire RPG is finally here. You will play as Fire, a vampire who has awakened after a long sleep. The choice of dialogues and development paths will determine which side the protagonist will be on. The atmosphere is gloomy streets, gothic clubs, and dark allies. This is literally a game about politics in a night city, where every decision will have a price.
Dispatch
Release date: October 22 (episodic format, so full completion will take place in November)
Genre: interactive adventure
Platforms: PS5, PC
A new experiment that combines superhero themes with the workplace comedy genre (or, more simply, a comedy about office life). You will play as a former superhero who was forced to swap his cape for a microphone – now he is a dispatcher and manages the operations of his colleagues. Despite the light humorous style, the game gives you full control over events – your decisions affect who to send on a call and how the rescue day will end for the city.
Once Upon a Katamari
Release date: October 24
Genre: puzzle / action
Platforms: Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC
Our favorite series is back with us! You control a katamari, a sticky ball that sticks to everything that gets in its way. The game brings back the same simple yet brilliant idea, but with new graphics, levels, and item combinations. It’s pure fun with the absurd mechanics that fans have adored for years.
The Outer Worlds 2
Release date: October 29
Genre: action-RPG
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
Obsidian is back with a sequel to its ironic space RPG. The action will now take place in the new Arcadia system. The player becomes an agent of the Earth Directorate and has to investigate spatial rifts. The game will retain the humor, elections, and influence on the world, but the scale has increased – more planets, more factions, and more consequences.
ARC Raiders
Release date: October 30
Genre: cooperative shooter
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
A team game about survival under the attacks of mechanical enemies. Players create squads, collect resources, and repel waves of attacks. Everything is built on cooperation – each player is important, and survival depends on joint actions. The visual style is a mix of retro science and futurism.
As you can see, October has brought a variety of games to suit every taste. Whether you’re looking for something new or waiting for your favorite franchise, there’s a lot to choose from. And we’re not saying goodbye here – stay tuned, as we’re already working on the November release…
