Safari is a web browser that was developed by Apple. It is part of the macOS, iOS, and iPadOS operating systems and ranks 4th in the world in terms of the number of users. However, it should be noted that the percentage of its use in Ukraine is much lower. This may be due to the small number of Apple devices in the country.
On February 13, 2023, Apple released a security update for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Safari to address zero-day vulnerabilities that are actively exploited in the wild (ITW).
Features of the Safari browser
- The browser has a reading mode. This means that the web page is saved in a special format for deferred viewing. Even if the user is offline at the time.
- To view the updated content of your favorite sites, you can use the Top Sites feature. To do this, move the cursor over the image, enlarging it for a more convenient preview.
- To save the user’s time in maintaining the necessary information, the browser has a built-in password storage and automatic password management.
- You can open and use several sites at the same time. At the same time, there is no significant decrease in performance.

- You can save and organize tabs into groups that are available across all your iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices.
- Extensions allow you to customize your browser and add even more features to it.

- The Web Page Translation feature allows you to translate entire web pages into any language.
Keeping your data safe in Safari
Apple cares about the security of users’ personal data, so you may notice a large number of security tools that it directly offers.
When you visit websites that contain suspicious content, a warning will be displayed. When downloading malware, you will observe similar actions. The degree of protection against Internet threats can be adjusted to increase or decrease in the browser settings.
Private browsing provides improved protection of personal data and prevents websites from identifying users by fingerprints. You can block private browsing sessions if you wish. To do this, you need to use Face ID or Touch ID.
