EcoFlow attended CES 2025 to showcase its new products, just like many other manufacturers. One of them is a hat with built-in solar panels that can be useful when hiking, on the beach, or just walking.
Details of the novelty.
The new EcoFlow hat is definitely not for everyone. It has a somewhat clumsy design that is unlikely to fit in with your style if you follow it. However, the benefits in this case outweigh the aesthetics.
The Power Hat has small solar panels sewn into the fabric. They help charge your portable devices when you are outside. The fields are segmented, and each section has a small set of monocrystalline silicon cells with a nominal efficiency of 24 percent.
On the underside, there is a small plastic box with an LED indicator that shows if the hat is generating a charge at that moment. Pull back the attached rubber tabs and you’ll see the USB-A and USB-C ports, allowing you to charge two devices at the same time.
The EcoFlow puts out a maximum of 5V/2.4A, so you can count on it to keep your smartphone or tablet charged, but it won’t be able to run anything more power-hungry. There is no battery on board as it would make the hat too heavy. Therefore, you need to have a long wire on hand to stretch it from your head to the pocket where you keep your smartphone.
