Microsoft xCloud is a cloud-based gaming platform that is changing the way we play video games. Imagine being able to play your favorite games not only on your console or computer, but also on any other device, even on your mobile phone. This is what xCloud offers – the ability to play high-quality titles anywhere, anytime.
In one of our previous articles, we have already told you what Cloud computers are, and in this one, we will take a closer look at the xCloud cloud.
With this platform, you do not need to buy an expensive game console or a powerful computer. All you need is a stable Internet connection. Games run on powerful Microsoft servers and are streamed to your device via the cloud. This means that you can definitely enjoy the latest games without having to spend money on upgrading your hardware.
Play on different devices
One of the main features of xCloud is its versatility. You can play on a variety of devices, from mobile phones and tablets to PCs and TVs. Your game and progress is synchronized across devices, so you can start playing on one device and then continue on another without losing your progress.
This functionality allows players to enjoy the game at any time and in any place they want. For example, you can start a game at home on your PC and then continue on your mobile phone on the go. This is especially convenient for those who travel frequently or have limited time to play games.
In addition, xCloud delivers high quality graphics on a variety of devices, regardless of their specifications. Even if your mobile phone or tablet doesn’t have high-performance gaming hardware, you can still enjoy video games with high quality graphics.
The use of cloud technologies also eliminates the need to install “heavy” games directly on the device. All games are stored and run in the cloud, which frees up space on your device and ensures fast loading.
Large catalog of games
Microsoft xCloud provides a large library of games, from classic hits to the latest releases. You don’t need to buy each game separately – most games are available as part of a subscription to the service. This gives players the opportunity to experiment with different genres and find the games they like best.
This huge collection of games covers a wide range of genres, from exciting adventure games and dynamic shooters to strategies, puzzles, and sports simulators. No matter what your video game preferences are, xCloud offers something to satisfy every gamer.
Another advantage of this large catalog of games is that you have access to new releases almost as soon as they are released. Microsoft regularly updates its catalog with new games and updates, which means your library is constantly growing.
Using xCloud is very simple and intuitive. You can easily find and launch any game from the catalog, as well as manage your account and settings. The user interface is user-friendly and easily accessible on a variety of devices.
How do I use xCloud?
It is quite simple to use:
- Subscribe to the service.
- Install the desired application on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Connect to a stable internet connection.
- Choose a game from the library and start playing.
Microsoft xCloud is not yet launched in Ukraine, but there is an alternative
Unfortunately, xCloud is not currently available for direct use in Ukraine, but you can use the service with a VPN. The only thing you need is an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a VPN. Simply choose a VPN provider that has servers in countries where xCloud is available, such as Germany. After installing a VPN and setting up a connection through the appropriate country, you will be able to freely use cloud gaming. It should be noted that this method requires a stable Internet connection and can use a significant amount of data.
But as another very good alternative to Microsoft xCloud in Ukraine without any VPNs, you can consider NVIDIA GeForce Now. This cloud-based gaming service supports games from Steam, Epic Games Store, and other platforms, allowing you to play with ultra-high-quality graphics on RTX-enabled servers, regardless of your hardware’s power. In addition, GeForce Now performs very well even with a less stable Internet connection.
